So I thought I found a good deal, but as usual it was riddled with half-hearted features that didn't actually work. Most reviews I had viewed on this product stated that you would be able to view and control PowerPoint presentations through a USB JumpDrive or Memory Card; the only recognizable formats from such devices are MPEG 1-2-4, DIVX, MP3, JPEG, and WMV - absolutely no support for PowerPoint (PPT).

I then figured I might be able to save my presentation as an ordered set of JPEG pictures and control them with the remote; I was wrong! When you view images from a USB JumpDrive or Memory Card it displays them in it's own automatic transitioning slide show. You might think as I did that you could use the arrow keys on the remote to control the navigation of the JPEG's, but you'd be wrong, the arrows simply rotate the currently displayed JPEG.

Then I tried to play an MPEG 2 video off of a USB JumpDrive as it states in the User's Guide that came with the product. The video was clunky and skipped almost every two seconds the entire time it played. I tried different USB JumpDrives with the same result.

All in all it's a decent projector, but you'll still need a laptop to view just about ANYTHING and since a laptop usually already contains a DVD-ROM the only true "enhancement" this projector provides over the competition of a normal (dramatically cheaper) projector is the built in speakers and microphone jack. I am incredibly disappointed with this product and would not recommend it to anyone.

I was so excited when I found this projector and even more so when I discovered it at a great price on Amazon. It has been all that it was advertized to be, we love it's simple set up and great quality. Perfect for our small groups and teaching classes.

I just received my Epson PowerLite Presenter and it is amazing! I've struggled with showing my complex Power Point presentations on institutional equipment that has been difficult to set up and then hasn't delivered decent images or sound. But my new Epson Presenter is just right! Even in a room that is not fully darkened the image is clear, large, sharp and true. And then (Oh Joy!) the sound is excellent. I'm sure you could have 30-50 people in the room and the sound would be more than adequate. The set up is completely simple and the lamp doesn't have to cool to be turned off. The projector comes in a convenient carry case and is not that heavy. I haven't tested the microphone yet (mic is included), but I expect it will be just as excellent as the rest of the machine. I am delighted!
